Bike Fitting

The Cyclery & Fitness Center has the Analysis System, precision tool and sophisticated computer software for the perfect determination and adjustment of your bicycle.

Basic Fit - Included with the purchase of any new road bicycle, takes about 30 minutes. While this is our entry level fit it is designed around most aspects of our higher level fits. Instead of being performed on our Computrainer this fit is done with the help of a stationary Cyclops trainer.

$100 Standard measurement - The Standard Analysis calculates the ideal bicycle size and position of the cyclist. With the help of a computer drawing, we can help each client make an educated choice of which new bicycle fits. It can also be used to perfectly adjust an existing bicycle. Instead of being performed on our Computrainer this fit is done with the help of a stationary Cyclops trainer.

$175 Dynamic Bike Fit with the CompuTrainer’s SpinScan - Building on the results of a Standard Analysis, the skilled operator employs a dynamic bike fit. An iterative process whereby the graphic video biofeedback provided by the SpinScan is used to evaluate the impact of small adjustments to bike position. The SpinScan feature provides a multi-color torque graph, which represents one full 360-degree pedal revolution divided into 15-degree segments. It will identify "flat" or "dead" spots in the pedal stroke where optimal power is not being transferred to the drive train. This feature is given a quantifiable measure with the SpinScan Number, which is the average torque divided by the maximum torque times 100. If our muscles were able to produce equal torque through the full 360-degree pedal revolution, the spin scan number would be 100. While this is physically impossible, a number between 70 and 90 is considered to be a very efficient transfer of power.

Haro has put a lot of heart and soul into building bikes. The same kind of heart and soul Bob Haro invested nearly 30 years ago when he founded the company and invented the sport you're enjoying today. Not much has changed since then, they still build 'em because they're fun to ride. We think Bob would be proud of that. We hope you will be too.

Eastern Bikes

Eastern FRAMES are made from the highest quality; the welds, the geometry and the way they ride are top notch. Their lowest end complete has the same style frame geometry as their pro bike. They have a couple aluminum frames to help keep weight down. All of the other frames come with the integrated seat clamp. Eastern has also developed a new tubing called Lightning Rod Tubing that they use on the Jane, Ace of Spades and the Asesino.

Easy Racer

Easy Racers recumbents are a pleasure to ride. You sit slightly reclined; back fully-supported, arms relaxed, neck straight; in a normal sitting position.  Compare this with the contorted riding position on a diamond-frame bike.  Even after a long day of touring, you're still riding in comfort.  No more stiff neck, aching back, numb hands or crotch.  No straining either.  A combination of lower mountain bike gears with higher road bike ranges ensures the correct gear ratio for any terrain.
